Financial Committee

Financial_muslafThe Financial Committee is responsible for recording all financial activities in the organisation. It keeps the record of income generated into the account of the association as well as the expenditure.

One of the goals or objectives of the committee, however, is to ensure constant inflow of cash into the association purse. In other words, we always strive to ensure that our income outweighs our expenditure. Also, among the goals and objectives of this committee, is tasking each member to fund various projects at hand, such as, the Secretariat Project, The Eids Get-together events, Quranic class / Islamic education etc.

A reminder letter is sent on a regular basis to remind all members to finance and pay the levy imposed to fund the projects in question. It is noteworthy to say that this has been an effective way of making members support the association financially.

It is critically important to mention that the committee has not been so successful in generating income from outside the organisation. Steps have, thus, been taken to facilitate seeking funds from external source. The creation of Programme Implementation Committee which is given the responsibility of helping every committee achieves its objectives, is a step in the right direction. Having our website up and running will also massively help in getting financial aid externally. Therefore, going forward, we intend to maximise the benefits of the website to attract visitors from every part of the globe in achieving our goals. We will also liaise with Programme Implementation Committee in order to obtain grants available to charity organisations.
